A Little About Our Community...
The small mountain town of Meeker is nestled along the White River in Northwestern
Colorado. This friendly, rural community of approximately 2,400 residents provides
services and recreational activities that parallel larger resort areas.
The Meeker area offers a variety of recreational activities such as hunting, fishing,
bicycling, hiking, wildlife watching and snowmobiling to name a few. The average summer
temperature is 82.5°F, and the winter temperatures average 38.1°F. So, no matter
which season you visit Meeker, there will be activities for you to participate in!
The Meeker Range Call Celebration takes place during the July 4th Holiday.
This popular annual event has been celebrated since 1885 and offers rodeos, historical
re-enactments, a parade, a spectacular fireworks show and much more!
While you're in town be sure to visit the White River Museum to learn about Meeker's
rich history.
In early September, the Meeker Sheepdog Classic draws competitors from all over the

Pioneers Hospital and the Meeker Family Health Center provide high quality healthcare
to the town's residents and visitors. Meeker boasts excellent schools for the K-12
