Meeker, Colorado—September 20, 2007—At the monthly meeting of the Pioneers Medical
Center Board of Directors, the Directors approved the appointment of Frank Holmes, M.D. and Rob
Macauley, M.D. to provide Medical Direction services to the PMC Medical Laboratory. “We are
excited to have these two pathologists on board. They will be actively involved in directing
PMC laboratory and pathology services” said Robert Omer, PMC CEO. “Holmes and Macauley
are based at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, and provide services to a number of hospitals. This working relationship will allow us to expedite reference testing results by taking advantage of Valley View’s 24-hour services.” Read More...

Directors met for their monthly board meeting. Dr. Victor Mihal, PMC Chief of Staff, reported that
Rocky Mountain Health Plans is honoring Dr. Albert Krueger, PMC Medical Director, and the Meeker
Family Health Center staff, for “Accomplishments in Providing Medical Care.” A special

Meeker, CO - February 19, 2007 – During the February Pioneers Medical Center (PMC) Board of
Directors Meeting, approval was given for the participation of PMC in a statewide hospital
coalition initiated by the Colorado Hospital Association. “Patients Matter- Hospitals
and Nurses Care” is a program focused on continuing the delivery of safe, high-quality
patient care. Pioneers Medical Center has already collaborated in a variety of patient care
and safety initiatives at the State and national level. The commitment to continue that record,

the Eastern Rio Blanco County Health Service District, the Pioneers Medical

nursing assistants, and therapists make approximately 2,600 home care

Association for Home Care & Hospice in celebrating November as National
Home Care Month under the theme, “ Compassionate Health Care Delivered

Tinto Energy America Colowyo Mine has pledged to be one of the leading
energy organizations to partner with Pioneers Medical Center to implement
an Electronic Medical Records program. On Monday, October 2, 2006 employees
from Rio Tinto-ColoWyo presented Pioneers Medical Center with a check
for Phase I of the Information Technology and Electronic Medical Record

Helipad is a critical tool when handling emergency patients. Maintaining
a landing location that is safe, well-marked and well-lit improves response
time to emergency situations.” Said Drew Varland, Chief Nursing
Officer, Pioneers Medical Center. “We appreciate the contribution
by Berry Brothers and its employees because approximately 6% of the emergency
visits to Pioneers Medical Center need helicopter transportation.”
